I have a 40 Shield with about 300 rounds thru it. Last night when I was reassebling it I left the take down level slightly off center. The guide rod was stuck about a 1/2 inch beyond the barrel. It took some doing but I got it unstuck. The only problem I can see is the tab that rests against the barrel was slightly bent on two sides. I straighted it and racked the slide several times. I took it out and shot 13 rounds and everything seems fine. The tab still has a couple of slight bends. I'm guessing everything is fine. Anyone else have a problem like that? Yes I pay close attention where the take down level is now.
