Do you realize what are those legislatures limiting the magazine capacities to 7, 10 or 15 rounds telling us?

Possession of magazines with capacity exceeding the allowed number of rounds by the recent law is illegal and will turn us into criminals.
So, they are telling us to sell them to other states where they are still legal or surrender them in order to be destroyed.

This is as same as if they were telling us since the top speed limit in our state is 70 mph, we can not possess a car capable of exceeding that speed.
So we have to sell our vehicles or surrender to be destroyed.
Can you imagine how absurd that will be considered?
But when it comes to magazines for some reason it is considered as a sensible solution.

Even though I disagree with this law, why simply our legislature can't say "whatever mag you have, you may retain your hardware but you can't load them with more than allowed number of rounds by your state law?"

It will be as same as saying that you can possess a car capable of going 160mph as long as you drive max 70 mph on the roads.

No matter how much we jump up and down and scream that we are law-abiding citizens, still, up to our legislatures we are all corrupt, criminal minded people waiting for an opportunity to break the law.

Don't you ever get tired of being treated as prospective criminals with an evil intention who has the burden of proof loaded on your shoulders to prove the opposite.

Basically we're being asked to prove our innocence.

I thought we never had to do that as Free American citizens!
I thought we were all supposed to be innocent until proven guilty!

I guess this must be the "change" they were talking about.

Well, your state is not the only state that requires all their "public servants" have anencephaly; NY state has a dim bulb that just introduced a bill where in order to keep your legally owned gun, you must purchase accident/liability insurance to the tune of no less then $1 million. Current industry experts state that the cost of such insurance would be about $3000.00 per year on average, probably more.

Defenders of this ridiculous proposal site that we are required to buy car insurance if we want to keep our cars legally on the road, so why not guns? The problem here is that driving is a privilege, and not a right...gun ownership is a right; big difference here.

Let's not forget the other fella' in Colorado who wants all guns banned, period, and in their place, have "call boxes" on every corner, have women travel in pairs or more, and have whistles issued to everyone so as to have a "broad range" of options when one needs to defend themselves; you just cannot make this stuff up.

Oh wait, yes they can, and they are.

This is one of the points that so many Americans are missing. I grew up Innocent until proven guilty. Suddenly traditional Americans are guilty by...media manipulation? I suspect that the super majority of those with an anti opinion have never handled or fired a weapon, otherwise they'd understand where the gravity and mutual respect for weapons and other owners comes from.
