GUN "BUYBACK"

One last thought. In the State of New Hampshire, gun buyback programs are illegal for state and local government agencies, such as police dept.'s. It ought to be illegal in every state.

We will have to agree to disagree. The way I see it, I want the anti-gunners to pay me ridiculous amounts of money for guns that are little better than scrap metal. Then I can take their money and buy a really nice gun for myself. Then I want to send them pictures of my nice new gun that I bought with their money, just to piss them off.

The gun I bought with Oakland's money even has ivory grips. How is that for being doubley politically incorrect? The only way to make them more angry would have been to go to the San Francisco Zoo, shoot an elephant, hack off an ivory tusk with a chain saw to make the ivory grips, then take the new gun and start plinking at California condors with lead bullets.

Why does this strike me as a great opportunity for some kind of Eagle Scout project?

40,000lbs /1700 guns = 23.5 lbs average per gun. Does that strike you as a bit odd? Was there a 105mm howitzer in the mix somewhere to boost the average?
If I were to estimate the weight of that mix I would put it more like 8# average or say 13,000 pounds tops.

Sorry force of habit.

George Kelgren of Kel Tec fame (the John Moses Browning of cheaper handguns) designed the Tec 9, or at least did most of the work. He's from Sweden and was never a Navy Seal. Tec 9s are not particularly rare, nor all that desired save some of the early open bolt guns.

Anyway, I wish that I was near a gun buyback program. I'd get some duct tape, mouse traps and water pipe and bring in a boxload of "pistols".
