Gun Control...meh. It's the ammo they're after!!

The right to keep and bear arms includes ammo. The Rev. war began when the Brits attempted to seize powder and shot.
Well, it would be virtually impossible to confiscate all the millions of firearms in America. On the other hand, levying cost-prohibitive taxes on ammunition and reloading components, plus placing unreasonable restrictions on ammunition manufacturers could very possibly be the "hidden weapon" certain individuals would propose to throw the proverbial "wrench into the works" of all legal gun owners.

That is a defeatist attitude. Yes things have taken a down turn.
How many said things like this in 1776?
How many in 1812 when the British came back?
How about in 1860 and though the Civil War?
Stock market monetary panic of 1907, the beginnings of WWI, the Wall st crash and the Dust bowl?
FDR the New Deal and WWII?
Vietnam, Middle East.
Yet here we are. Some people figured it was the end of the great every time. More just got a lot more determine.

My Great great great great grandfather in Boston did not wring his hands. My Great great Grand father didn't during the Civil War, his son didn't when a blizzard in Montana killed all his cows. My great grandmother didn't living in a 1/2 sod house as a widow during the depression. It was hard beyond what most any of us know. They all kept going to make this country great. I REFUSE to accept that the best is behind us as AMERICANs. I have more FAITH than that. I see the kids who are good smart kids, I know people who still work hard and care about what they are doing. I BELIEVE in them, that part of the country that is still trying to build. Their day will come. Besides a little hard time makes the good times all the better.

Need to realize the language used when bill of rights was written. Look it up as the word Arms includes ammo.
Controlling ammo sales only works to a point. You especially have to be a nitwit to think you can control the ammo for "the weapons of war" Now many million 9mm and 5.56. and 7.62x39 and 7.62x51 are already out there and how many are produced every year by who knows how many companies. If some one will pay someone will supply.
They prohibited alcohol and you could get a drink anywhere. The "War on Drugs" When itt started there wasn't 5% of what there is now after 50 years. They cracked down on cold medicine to stop Meth. Now it is manufactured in quantity both foreign and domestic and worse than ever. Codeine became Oxy, which became heroin and now Fentenal. Our governments ability to stop to production of stuff they don''t want has never worked out.

I'm thinking that gas prices may drop miraculously right before the next election.
Gasoline prices. Ask yourself how this. Who is making the bucks off the high price of oil and fuel. The government isn't. For a hint go look at the public quarterly profit reports from all the oil majors for the last year. Hmmm record profits highest in the last decade. How did the government do that??? Want to see something else interesting. Look at the profit reports of the major grocery wholesalers.
The US produced 5% less oil than in 2019 but we used 4% less. Interesting that that 1% has cause oil and fuel prices to nearly triple. Who controls the price of oil? Hint, it isn't the government.

The end result of banning ammunition is the same as banning guns. We have to hope there will always be an objective judge somewhere who will not allow such an end run around the Constitution.

For four years we didn't have to worry about losing our gun rights. Now with another democrat in office we are worried once again. People need to wake up the moderate democrat in office is on their way out. Henry Cuellar is my congressman a moderate democrat. I do not agree with him on most items but he is fair. But since he is a moderate his own party has come after him with an FBI investigation, which found nothing. The person running against him is a big time liberal and with a bunch of mail in ballots almost defeated him with less than 200 votes separating them. And she has not given up the fight because she believes they will find more votes to put here on top. History repeating itself once again
