... it's about *Control*!!
You don't really think 'they' are going to give up *their* guns, do you? Or remove their private [armed!] security. No...this is all about taking power away from YOU and controlling your options. Making you/us more vulnerable. You should fight this like you're the third monkey on Noah's Ark, and Brother...it's starting to rain!

And this business of States passing "Constitutional Carry" law is just bogus, no matter how much you may welcome it. TRUE "Constitutional Carry" is *NOT* just another law, which gives you "permission" to carry without a license. Such a law can be repealed at any time should the winds of politics change! TRUE Constitutional Carry is the repeal and/or abolition of any and all existing laws which infringe upon...or even address...the Right recognized under the Second Amendment. Nothing less will suffice!

No, but we shouldn't allow ourselves to be lulled into assuming the fight's over because of this, either. If your State offers a CCW permit, by all means get one! First, it allows you to enjoy reciprocity in those other States that offer it, and it also shortcuts any future effort to revert to a permitted system.

As noted it’s all about control-and if you’re trying something nefarious against the general public it’s a whole lot easier if they lack the ability to effectively fight back—Ask Hitler, Stalin etc why they disarmed their populous before their plans went into effect. I suspect the Gestapo and SS would have lost a lot of enthusiasm for rounding up folks if the first person to enter a home always caught a bullet in the head

I agree, gun control laws are not about public safety, but about control over the public, but only the law abiding public. My idea of gun control is using both hands to control the gun, provides for better accuracy.
