Interesting observations there.
It might even be a front pocket carry as it's not that much bigger than my G39 was and over 4 oz's lighter at that. Only problem I can see it will be squirrely in the hand to shoot. Not so much scary if you are use to it and you might even laugh out loud to yourself as I use to when I would shoot the G39.
But if you are not use to having a blaster in a small gun it may scare you.
And you'll run away from it. That gun will have more recoil than even the SA XDS .45 and an honest person even season will admit that gun is no fun to shoot.
You'll have the the chambered round to get it right, after that it's doubtful you'll even be able to tell where you are hitting.
Have to say, I don't find these two statements to be honest.
They are to a new shooter. And if you are you may just be bragging, if not it's because you are not.
See the difference.
Sub-compacts in general are for experience gun handlers not fist time buyers.
But you will never here that from the market.
And a 1911 is for a experience shooters as well.
Duly noted.
I wonder how many first time buyers will share that opinion.
No argument from me.
But I for one want nothing to do with gun under 28 oz. shooting .45 A.C.P. and if you ever get the chance try a G30, like shooting rubber bands across the room.
It is wide. But I do miss it, but I could not adapt to the safe action trigger and would roll off it and have a no fire. But it was primarily with the 39.
I got rid of the 30 to go pocket with the 39.
Guess what I got now, a Governor and I just ordered a P290 in the .380 version for the pocket.
(I'm nuts)![]()
Have to say, I don't find these two statements to be honest. In my experience with both these weapons. Shield 45 grip and texture are not squirrely in the least and control of this weapon is superb.
The XDS 45 is not a friendly fire weapon, recoil much more severe than the Shield and the XDS grip is one that needs to be covered. Have experience firing with both and Shield wins hands down in both these categories (IMHO).
