Gun shop owner killed in botched robbery.

I like the concept of the business, but I wonder if it led the thugs to assume the store would be an easy target.

Years ago, in my area, the male owner of a "traditional gun store" was shot and killed during a store robbery. The robbers escaped without a scratch, but were later caught, in another city, with the stolen guns. The robbers were in the business of illegally selling guns, and wanted some new inventory.

Profoundly regret that the owner was killed. Very thankful that his wife sustained only light injuries. The criminals who are dead are dead because of their own evil actions. Hopefully those who survived will be charged with murder, convicted and then punished to the fullest extent permitted by law.

That's a shame. I like the concept of the business, but I wonder if it led the thugs to assume the store would be an easy target.

I'm glad that they learned that was a serious mistake.

excellent observation regarding a store albeit a gun store, dedicated to women shoppers being considered an easy target.

Read the article before the owner passed. It's a shame and lots of sorrow for the family.

It happened on the Kansas side of the KC Metro area. If it would have been on the Missouri side the death penalty would be possible for the surviving waste of humanity.

I'm sure with all of the stories of having a bad childhood, single parent, bad schooling, low self-esteem, etc. and a very liberal judge, the person will be lucky to see the inside of a jail!

Recent story of a murder in Pakistan, which was committed on a Fri., had the trial on Sat. and person was hanged on Sunday. Too bad there isn't swift just in this country.

Among other things, Pakistan imprisons, and executes, people for blasphemy. Their judicial system deserves to be condemned, not admired.

In the USA, we used to have "quick justice". It was called lynching.

Sad to hear of this. I had considered some guns they had on GB, I took particular interest in the store and had.planned to visit on my next
trip to KC.My daughter and SIL live in a neighboring suburb.
