Say what you want about gun shows in the last 10 years or so, but sometimes I just luck out. I picked up a .44 special franken gun on Friday and knew I needed to get back into reloading .44 spcls. I used to reload for a Winchester 94 trapper. I have one box of factory Black Hills that still had a $20.99 price tag on it, guess how old that is, and two plastic boxes of emptys.

So I went to a little show on Sunday looking for some components. I hit my buddys wife up, she sells cleaned range pickup brass. She had 60 brand new W-W .44 spl cases, so check those off my list. I found a guy selling off a bunch of bullets some full boxes some partial. I found two boxes of .44 cal 240gr SWC one 100 round box only had 61 rounds but he sold them both to me for 20 bucks-----SCORE. It wasn't alot, but it will get me going. I don't know, but I just cant give up looking. Besides, the show and lunch was a good way to kill a crappy WV Sunday winter morning.

Sometimes you just get lucky. Did you buy a lottery ticket yet? You are on a roll.

I like the smaller shows. There's always something to find and at a fair price too. Went to a small show two weeks ago and brought home over 130 170 gr RN bullets for my 30/30, 50 300 gr JFPs for my 45/70, 1/4 box of 35 cal gas checks, full box of 30 cal checks and 1000 large magnum rifle primers. All for $115.
Last month I scored a bag of 155 gr SWC laed bullets for my 38/357s. Nearly 500 for only $10. Seller said he was tired of lugging them around!

Never shot or had a 44, but they just have to be a kick in the pants to own and have.

The case is just down right "Handy" and it seems to be a great all around load for plinking and serious business, if needed.

Enjoy that gun and I hope to see a target when you ever get everything together, with maybe some data.

I picked up 2 boxes of gas checked lead bullets for my 38/55 Winchester for $15 and a set of almost new set of lee dies for 38/55 for $20. I thought it was worth $5 with a dollar off because I was a veteran to get in. Now I need to find some 38/55 brass cheap.
