Went to the gun show in Myrtle Beach yesterday. First time to gun show in years. Lot's of powder available-if you want to pay $50 a pound. Some lesser known stuff I did find for $35 but all the rest was $45-50. Found one nice 8 pound keg of Varget for a mere $400!!!!! Primers ranged from $95 to $150 per 100. The $150 were super dooper match primers however, so a good deal.

That's got to be per 1000. If it's per 100, loaded ammo is way cheaper! Primers and powder are still priced high and make reloading a little less appealing than buying ammo, especially in common use calibers like 9mm and 5.56mm NATO.

Gun shows seem to have gone downhill ever since they got too expensive for private parties to attend.
Regular folks selling and buying made gun shows fun.
When the shows became all dealers they lost much of the appeal.
Expensive tables, insurance requirements and entrance fees have really hurt them.
Alternatives, like online sources are just too easy to do.

I think some guys bring stuff to the gun shows to show it and talk about it. I'm so tired of the "I know what I have" crowd.
