Pretty much the same as Beakert. The only thing I would add is that the guys I know from the club that get a table are primarily there to hang with their shooting buddies and aren't much interested in selling whatever they brought to hold down the table.
The 40% of all gun sales occur with no background check was thrown at Wayne when he was on Meet The Press. Wayne didn't challenge the number but I think the number is bogus. No one knows how many private sales there are whether they occur between neighbors, at gun shows, Internet contacts or whatever. The millions of tax dollars used in Washington to invent such numbers can be better spent elsewhere. It's nobody's business in Washington anyway.
