Gun Show M&P's all $419

Went to the Lone Star Gun Show today here in Fort Worth. One seller had full size and compacts, 9mm and 40, all priced at $419. Lowest price that I saw at the show by $50. Too bad I didn't need another M&P.

Wonder how and why this seller can be so much lower than everyone else? Serial numbers were DXM-DXN. Is that recent manufacture or older?

That is what I paid for my FS about 10 months ago. They are currently on sale around here for $450-$460.

Maybe he charges paperwork fees or something.
I buy all mine at LE pricing which is $399 and includes a 3rd mag.
Realistically I could sell mine for $399 and keep the extra mag and make out, maybe he's doing something like that.

I went to the "Real Gun Show" in Belton TX today and it was a real waste of gas! Should have just drove to Fort Worth show.

My serial number begins with DXN, and it had a test fire date of 4/19/2012, so I'd say those were probably new stock.

Were they new? Could be LE trades. My LGS sells them for about the same price.

Or...did any have the mag safety? The same LGS was blowing out new M&Ps in 357sig a few years back for $359. All had mag safety. I bought one but eventually sold it.

They were all NIB standard two magazine packages (not LEO) and were available with or without thumb safeties.

I was curious about the build dates because I've read the S&W was changing up the lock up timing on the 9mm to address some accuracy issues. Not sure if this is even true, but if I buy another M&P 9 I'd want one with the newest stuff.

According to S&W all 2012 pistols have whatever updates they did.

Look at the fired shell casing envelope (if they'll open the box) and you can confirm the build date. I'm sure you'll find they're this year's stock.

I cant make the show, I'm about 100 miles west of you. Do you recall the dealer who had these? Im considering adding a 9mm.

I didn't get the name, but it was not SAW or Bachman or any of the big dealers I am familiar with. If you do make the show they were located in the middle of the exhibit hall.

$419 is a smoking deal for civilian sales. If your not LE/MIL you guys should jump all over that.

I would jump at that price. I got my M&P .40 last Feb or March, and paid 489+tax and that was on sale!

Jealous here. Last show I stopped by didn't have any, but I could have picked up a used Gen 3 Glock with what appeared to be a home stippling job done with a Bic lighter and a coat hanger for only $600.
