Im not trying to steal away from LadyT's gun show thread but, since I dont know if she attended the same show I did? then I figured to inform you of what I saw.
For the reloading guys:
Several dealers there selling primers--1,000 count for around $30. Since im not into reloading, I dont know if that was high or not? Also several selling reloading tools, powder, and quite a few selling brass of all types.
Ammo prices: Some of what LadyT said is about what I saw as far as prices go. I saw bricks of .22 averaging $46--when it was over $60 last months show. I still saw 1-2 or so--having it priced for $119.00. 100 rd box of Winchester 9mm, averaging $40++ highest I saw was $57.00. .45 was all over the board as prices go. 50 rd boxes from not bad prices of $26--on up to about $50 of the Winchester, American Eagle and other brands. WM here sells Winchester 50 rd boxes of .45--for about $26 incl tax. I saw a few 250 rd bulk packs of either UMC or PMC .45 for just shy of $200.00. WM sells same for $100.00 less.
Lots of Smith & Wessons to be had. More Henry's, Colts, Winchesters and such to be had. Prices falling on most of the new stuff. However, I talked with about 10 dealers who all said gun sales were about half of what they were at the last show--for the time of day I was there. The only seller who didnt seem to be effected, was AJC Sports from Clute--which is near Houston. Even they did see a little slow down at times, but pace picked back up.
Food and other items did as normal. My Salsa Verde lady made another $48 bucks off me for another case of the stuff. My Beef Jerky seller made only $20 off me this time around.
The Art, Toys, Books and clothes seem to take up a few more tables. The guys selling gun safes werent there or either I didnt notice them.
Since the money for the sale of my Tunic and caps still has not yet arrived (via paypal) I wasnt able to come away with two pistols I wanted. Next show here is a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng 5 months away.
