It was a fairly small show, as summer shows tend to be. I got up early and drove the 50 miles. There was even parking in the main lot, and no one was out in the cornfield to the west. Mixed blessing, small shows are easier to walk, but less stuff to see. Even things as much fun as a gun show can get tedious. Two fellers bickering over a Marlin. they finally got down to where the price difference was $5. I thought my head was going to explode. I had to move on. Not a lot of great guns.
I did buy a knife, probably an early 1950s Randall 3-7. Nice rough back Johnson sheath for being maybe 65 years old. That killed my knife funs allocation for the day. Saw a bunch of guns price at what I felt were "high reasonable". For example a K22-O for $1500. A lot of what I call "modern" smiths for $600-1000 or even higher. These are common production 1970s guns. Nothing I considered cheap or even "fair". No grips worth considering. It looks like all good condition target grips are up at $150 asking. Those are non-diamond. I guess the folks who have them are pretty darn proud of them. A lot of ammo up on the tables. Even 22s are up for sale. I assume by those who wished they'd sold back when the prices were better for them.
I didn't see a single round of 32 Colt ammo. No shorts, no longs. If things don't get better, I'm gonna have to sell the gun.
Ivory seems to be creeping back up on tables. Some of it loose, others bolted to steel. Pretty predictable. Maybe we should lobby Trump to end the ban an make the lefties cry or riot.
