I have come across a Safariland holster marked 29 Colt. It is a tan leather, no lining, and appears to be for a 6 inch revolver. I can't find a fit chart on line that include this holster. Does anyone here have any idea what Colt this fits? Does not seem to fit a Python. Thanks for the help guys.

Colt stamped on that holster would usually mean a medium E/I frame revolver such as an Official Police, Army Special, Trooper or Officers Model.

I thought maybe the Python was too big to fit. If a little small Boykinlp is on the right track. I don’t know anything about Colts after the Trooper/Officers Model era. The Python was built on the I frame but had a shrouded ejector rod making it a little larger in a holster than a Trooper or Officers Model. Good luck figuring it out.

20 to 50+ years old; they stretch. I have a Safariland 29 marked S&W MED that holds an N frame.

Possibly an Anaconda, of course. I don't recall how Safariland might have marked that.
