The President mentioned"Gun Violence" in his State of the Union Address. I have yet to see a violent gun and I have owned hundreds of firearms. I have never seen a violent cresent wrench either. I have however seen violent men...and they will use what ever tool is at hand...be it a gun, wrench, tire iron, chain, belt, vehical or what ever is handy. Why not just call a spade a spade? Violence is an act by a human being that is out of control and sometimes it takes violence to confront a violent person.
This is all about taking the ability of the American Citizen to defend themselves against whatever the goverrnment may have in store for us in the future. There is no law that will stop violent criminals...but there are steps that can be taken to minimise risk from a criminal. So far...our President has not seen fit to remove semi and fully automatic weapons with high capacity magazines from his security detail. I believe they even have a vehical with a mini-gun on it to protect the President. The President also has a security detail that protects his children in school. I doubt that he is going to have that detail removed....and he can expect that the American people expect to be able to defend ourselves with the same ability. Our Politicions need to be reminded that they took an Oath...and if they violate that Oath...we need to take steps to demand they be impeached for proposing laws that are unconstitutional. I have no doubt that the NRA will fight the legal battle against any infringement on our second amendment. We need to tell our elected representatives that proposing any law that infringes on our second amendment or bill of rights will be ignored by the American Citizens and we will push back if any unconstitutional law is pushed on us....and there are a lot of us that can push back hard. This is no joke....its our freedom at stake here and if we do not stand up for liberty and freedom, we will stand for nothing and become sheep. Too many patroits have died defending our freedom and we owe a debt to the future generation of Americans to preserve the freedom they died for. I will not shirk my duty if it comes to defending freedom...its our freedom that is being attacked....and its our freedom that needs to be defended. Freedom has never been free and we may have to pay the price to keep our freedom. Do we have what it takes to defend that freedom?
