I love lever actions too. Have some Marlins/Winchesters/Navy Arms/Brownings etc.. I deer hunt with 30/30....35....& 444. You have a nice set of older Marlins!
These are the newer ones that I use a good bit, I have 6 older
levers also.
Pic. Marlin 1895. 45/70
Marlin 336 Marauder. 30/30
Marlin 1894 44 mag
Marlin 39. 22lr
All pre safety JM Marlins , also have:
Win. M53. 25/20
Win. M94. 30/30
Win. 1895. 30govt06
Marlin 1894 32/20
Marlin 1897 22 LR
These are original old models, I don't keep the newer model
rifles. These are in my keeper rack, the four newer Marlins are
nice rifles but could go down the road on trade at any time.
I did a stupid thing 3 yrs ago. Ohio annouced rifle season and I
put scopes on 45/70, 375win & 44mag. I had Lyman reciever
sights on all them prior and they were all tuned and I was use
to shooting them. They shot excellent scoped but 1st day in the
woods, which is thick in these parts I realized I didn't like or
need a scope. Now back to reciver sights. Except the 375 Marlin.
Got rid off it and got a #3 Ruger in 375w for a long range rig.
Shooting bullets and loads in it that wouldn't function through
Marlin action, unless single loaded.
