Went to a small gunshow this weekend in OKC and it seemed like some of the availability and prices on guns and ammo were getting back to normal. There were AR-15s everywhere and one dealer had DPMS "Optics Ready" AR-15s for $649. I saw a lot of ammo at decent prices and bought some old 8m/m Mauser FMJ ammo for $4.99 per box of 20, and probably should have bought a few hundred rounds. Concealable handgun prices were down but not as low as "pre Obama" times, but Smith revolvers were pretty high and it makes me mad how cheap I sold some of mine only 6 months ago!

We have a gun show here this weekend. I hope that I see the same deals that you did. It has been a dry well here for almost a year for ammo and AR's!:(

The AR glut seems to be over, though some areas have dealers that don't seem to want people to know this. CDNN seems to be overstocked on ARs. They've had CMMGs down to 749 w/ free shipping and Colt 6920s down to 1200, again shipped free. They've even been giving away mags, carrying cases, etc to try to move inventory.

The days when any old parts gun AR would fetch a grand are now gone.

Ammo... still regional shortages and perhaps national ones. Many online retailers are still out of many items, and many Walmarts are still picked over.

Glock seems to be catching up with orders, at least the new G22s are now readily to be had and cheap.
