Hi! Well, the admission is still 5 bucks, still the same amount of dealers set up, and still the same old overpriced stuff, they bring to each show. Lots of black guns, of every kind. More than half the tables were junk flashlight and knife dealers. They have less gun dealers and more knife dealers at every show. Lots of pink guns, and small guns like the Keltec.
A group of 4 to 6 of us meet for breakfast and go to thye shows. Out of 4 people today, 3 of us wanted to buy a gun. I was looking for CZ tacticals, model 52's and model 41's, none. One guy wanted Colt delta in 10mm-none. Another guy wanted, model 645, 745, 845, 945 or some of the model 4500 series-none. Their were very few S&W autos at the show, and only a handfull of S&W revolvers. The revolvers were grossly overpriced compared to actual selling prices on the auction sites or on this forum. No Colt Diamondbacks, troopers and one junk Python, for $1250.
The place was packed, and they were selling some ammo, reloading stuff, and other stuff, but not guns. I saw one dealer sell a rifle, and a couple of dealers buying rifles from customers, but very little gun sales, in an hour and half of walking and drinking coffee.
We are going to start going up to the Indy 1500 show, and let these smaller shows go. It seems like dealers with any higher end guns, are avoiding Evansville. It could be our locally, depressed economy, they can't sell them here, so they go to the gig shows. Mikey
