Happy with the outcome? Did you drop it off or mail it? Thanks.
Yes, his prices aren't what I would call cheap, but they are inline with other gunsmiths, say Clark Custom.
At the time my 625 was my first revolver and the trigger would lock up at times. He fixed it with the trigger job which ended at 8-8.5lb DA. That doesn't seem really light in comparisons to Apex competition jobs, but I explained I wanted 100% reliability with factory ammo at the time and it was. The total price was around $340 if I remember for everything (trigger job, chamfer, install fiber optic front sight) including parts. It needed new sideplate screws, strain screw, rebound spring, mainspring, cylinder stop, and the previous owner took out the hammer block among other things the were boogered up by the last owner.
Where his work really shine is his custom stuff. While I was there he was nice enough to show me some of his work including a 1911 he was working on, and it was NICE.
I later learned to do my own work, its not to hard once you get the proper tools, most important would be a good set of screwdrivers with fitted heads. So I've done all the trigger an cylinder work in my new guns.
Oh and I called and dropped off, which is one of the reasons I went locally. Shipping a handgun can be $$$$$$$$
