I have the box for K22 Combat Masterpiece K125248. The box has the screwdriver and a well used complete set of cleaning tools for a 4" barrel. The serial number on the bottom of the box is only partially legible, but, the hang tag pictured was also in the box.
The hang tag has the gun model name and serial number. What can be read of the pencil number on the bottom of the box matches K125248. The back of the hang tag has a name, date and street address. The date is 3-21-52 which fits with ship dates for serial numbers in this range. The person was Robert L. Grizzle who lived at the address shown on the tag. It was in Los Angeles and Bullock's, the store name on the hang tag, was a very large, and prominent, store in Los Angeles.
This info was all very easy to come by. Finding the current owner of actual gun is probably a long shot. It does not appear in the old K-Frame database.
