After looking for a Model 617 No Dash with a 4-inch barrel for more than two years, I found one which I bought from another Forum member.

The revolver looks great, and the seller is in no way to be faulted.

However, I have to say that the trigger is disappointing. It is heavy and it noticeably stacks at the end of the double-action stroke.

Can any of y'all recommend a good gunsmith who can (1.) lighten the trigger pull weight, and (2.) get rid of the stacking so that the amount of force needed to actuate the trigger remains constant from the beginning through the end of the stroke?

I am looking for someone who has particular experience with this revolver, and price is much less important to me than skill.

Thanks!
