Just reading my January 2025 American Rifleman. I just picked up a Ruger Security Six. Last one I owned was 35 years ago. There’s an article on the Security Six in this month’s magazine. There is also an advertisement for the new H&K CC9. Has anyone else seen this? I went to YouTube to check out some videos.

As I stated in a previous thread, I’m pretty content with my firearm choices. I have an Sig P365, my Ruger Security Six and a 1976 vintage Hi Power. If I didn’t already own a suitable firearm for concealed carry, the H&K would be a top contender. Anyone here have one yet?

I've been keeping up with the release of the CC9. While in no means a bad looking pistol, I don't believe it has a single feature or advantage over my tried and true Hellcat. Some purists are not happy they did no get the paddle mag release. This and the FN Reflex still have my curiosity. The Reflex for it's hammer fired device.

Yes, I’m at a point now that I feel that my firearms choices meet my needs. I don’t need the newest, the latest, the greatest. Once in a while I will fondle a firearm and its ergonomics get my attention. I think that there is a point in the evolution of firearms that you say “this is good enough. There is nothing left to be gained or improved upon”. I understand “wanting “ something different but I’ve been around enough to know the difference between needs and wants. My next purchase will be a S&W Shield EZ9 when my hands get consistently bad enough that the EZ9 is a necessity. At that point my son will get my Hi Power and my Security Six. Not rushing out to buy the H&K but did find it interesting.

Admittedly, I like H&K. I've got a USP 45 that I bought when they first came out and my daily carry is a P2000SK (LEM trigger).

If I was looking for something smaller, I would consider the CC9. More realistically, I would look for a VP9SK cut for a red dot.

HK

I have one. Hit the 700 round mark on it. Its a great pistol. Zero issues. Put a Holosun EPS carry on it. 2.0 dot.. I carried it in the jacket of my Carhart pocket sever days this past week. Its the best of this class of carry 9's in my opinion..

The problem with this little pistol is it isn’t in stock in most places. They released a pistol but failed to out enough out there to the masses for us to get our hands on. I for one would give it a try but getting one in person is the real trial.

Hopefully soon
