Half Time Show

Guys just saw Justin Timberlake on the half time show.

I'll have to say, this is one of the finest if not THE finest half time performances in human history. I literally burst into tears when the Prince hologram came up and found myself screaming at the top of my lungs to the few lyrics I knew. Blown away. Literally shaking right now... it was PERFECT!!!

I like Justin Timberlake. Not necessarily his music, but the man. I think he's a good performer and he wreaks of coolness and confidence. And yes, the Prince tribute was well conceived and well received.

I missed it! Just so happens that I’m sitting out this nfl season for reasons that are unmentionable. Guess I should’ve tuned in the halftime show.

I was so-so on the halftime show, but I think Pink did a really nice job on the national anthem, and it was cool to see them have Hershel "Woody" Williams, one of the 4 remaining WWII Medal of Honor recipients, do the coin toss.

And for those concerned about such things, either no one took a knee or NBC didn't show it.

They also had 15 other MOH recipients on the field.

News report I read last week said that the league was paying them a bonus to stand. Regardless, many showed little respect by looking around, no hand on heart, and so on. Over paid bunch of bums....

There hasn't been a good show in years !!! Which is sad as it drives more away from the game ..

I've always respected and honored the traditions of
the National Anthem.

But I've also always wondered about how commercial
enterprises, in this case pro sports, started cloaking
the money-making enterprises into something
that aren't exceptionally honorable.

Maybe it's time to drop the playing of the anthem from
the opening of commercial enterprises and keep it
for official events such as memorials or other
events but not of such tremendously commercial
endeavors.

It was a tradition begun in a much different time than that which we live in today. I am in agreement with you, but it's a sad thing to contemplate.

My wife and I have been saying for years that NE can't win a game that's officiated fairly. Even so, in the 4th , NE get away with Holding in the End Zone, which is a Safety.
The good thing to me is "THEY" LOST!! HAHAHA!!

Liked the National Anthem singing, and the best superbowl in a long time. Someone was prancing around at halftime, decided not to continue watching it until the game came back on.

I understand no players knelt during the anthem.
Perhaps they realized the futility of the gesture while in the presence of true warriors.

I did not watch the half time show. That kind of show appeals to much younger folks than I. But I did not take my eyes off the screen during play. As a die hard Eagles fan since 12 years old, that was 63 years ago, I rejoiced in the victory. I was afraid I might die before the Birds won a Super Bowl.
