Hamilton Bowen Modified S&W 16-4 Get's some Range Time

Hammerdown, I'm still curious, did you have to adjust the sights between the Sierra group and Ranier group? Also, how did you get those hollow point bullets to cut such clean holes?

Hello
Yes I did have to adjust the sights between the two different loads and there were more target's where I did that sight adjusting. As far as how clean the holes are, the Target backer board is very stiff and I did not ask the bullets why they cut the target so clean, should I have ? ...:D

I get out of Kandahar in two weeks and will have Bowen do this conversion for me. Question I have is, do I modify the 4 inch or 6 inch barrrel 16-4??

Hello Peyton
The barrel length will depend on what you will be doing with it. I prefer the 6" Tube for hunting due to a little Higher velocity it shines a bit more than a 4" Tube in the woods.Your cylinder will not be marked or stamped so the only person that will know it has been Modified to a Federal .327 Magnum is You...You will not regret it...;) Hammerdown

Hammerdown, No, don't go talking to your bullets, not necessary on my part... I've been back and looked over the post a couple more times and I've come to the conclusion that you're probably shooting magic bullets anyway:) Keep them targets coming!
