Hammer nose replacement

I have a model 10-8 and the hammer nose is broken. A sn request in the other forum dates it in April 86. I can't find a hammer nose for the 10-8. Will the 10-7 or 10-9 work?

The change in the hammer noses occured post 1988......in the photo attached below, the "pre '88" nose is on the left and the new design is on the right.
If you need the older design and can't find and OEM nose, the Power Custom hammer nose will work. Brownells has a kit which includes a spring and rivet.
