Hammer/sear

After reassembling my 5943, the hammer fails to cock. If I partially cocked the hammer, it will function one time, but fail to reset for another hammer cocking. The trigger bar fails to connect to the hammer/ sear assembly .{mag is inserted} Any advice, please.

I'm not sure how much experience you have with this particular gun. There is no double strike capability. If you cycle the action/trigger, you will have to recycle the slide fully to reset/disconnect the hammer.

If this is not the issue, I would disassemble/reassemble to make sure everything is back in place properly. Make sure the disconnector tail is up on top of the drawbar as required.

I had that same issue and I had the bottom of the sear against the wrong side of the sear spring. The sear should be on the inside of the flat black sear spring
