Handgun hunting scopes

I don't care for the 2x fixed scopes. They make things look smaller to me. I prefer the 2-6(or7)x type scopes overall. I have multiple Weavers, Burris's and Bushnell 3200's on various handguns and T/C barrels. They all have held up just fine, including one on a 15" 30-06 barrel.

Leopold fixed 2 power on my 454 holds zero never had any problems in 5 years.

I've killed several deer with my M29 6 1/2" and I've always used the sights that came on the gun--no scopes. I DO always recommend scopes for any rifle hunting, tho'. I hope you can locate a scope that will fit your weapon properly.

I've never been happy with conventional scopes on handguns, for several reasons. What I've been really happy with are variants of Aimpoint red-dots with 2x magnification and 2MOA dots. No eye relief, parallax, or light level issues, rugged design, 50,000 hour run time on the current versions, kinda turns the handgun into a laser pointer.... Pricey, to be sure, but well worth the cost, in my experience.

I had a 2x Leupold on a Super Blackhawk. It cut my groups @ 75 yards but target acquisition took to long. The scope held up well, but I no longer scope my handguns.
