You beat me to it. Growing up, we could forget every birthday and even Christmas. But we didn't dare miss Nov 10! Dad would quiz us to see if we knew how old the Marines were each year. Happy Birthday USMC!

I am taking the birthday off from work and going shooting. Have an M1 out of the safe and a can full of loaded clips. There is a 500 meter steel sheep on the range I shoot at and I am going to go ring him. May have time to remember the past and old friends.
The outfit I work for is pretty lenient about me taking the USMC birthday off, I was USMC active duty for 10 years and I have worked civil service for the Marine Corps Air Station at Yuma Az for another 24 years.
