642-1 pre-lock from 2000. In the matching box with all docs and really nice rosewood grips. If it's been shot more than a few rounds I'd be surprised.

Very nice piece. I have a 642-1 from the same time period, 1999-2000 or so. I need to look around for the box as I am sure I put it up somewhere...I was less concerned about accessories and boxes, papers, etc. back when I bought that one.

One of my most used guns.

Ladder13 I bought one of the new no-locks and got a set of grips like that from cdnn,just the grips not the gun I think they were 29 bucks they still have them on their web site

wolfdog1: Can you post a pic? I've heard good and bad about the Herrett's from CDNN.

I dont know how to but mine have pretty wood and fit real well I took them off because I think the rubber ones fit my hand better I plan on keeping the wood ones anyway
