Happy First Day of Fall, How is the weather ?

I sure miss fall and most of the season changes.Long 6 mths of winter not so much, but 8 mths of summer gets old too.

Here in the Sub Tropics is is still very hot, humid and has rained for the last few days. Gulf water temp still at 84 degrees.

How is it where you live? Nip of fall in the air yet? Jack Frost, Leaves changing?

Fall is definitely in the air; temps have cooled off a bit and fog in the morning is back. It almost sounds unbelievable to say this, but we really need some rain. There are several wildfires going in Eastern Washington right now, most of which are nowhere near contained. The firefighters are performing heroically but shifting winds, low humidity and hot temps are making their job more difficult and dangerous than normal. If you can call anything smoke jumpers do "normal".

They canceled the football game at Central Washington University due to the smoke. The air is downright unhealthy in most of Eastern Washington, and parts of Idaho are in the same boat.

Edit: I misspoke. The CWU game was moved to this side of the mountains to Pop Keeney Field here in Bothell. Totally spaced that.

Temp in low 60's.Leaves are starting to change and drop.Right now it's raining and the wind is picking up.Don't matter,spent the day under the kitchen sink putting in a new faucet.Gotta tell you though Fall is my favorite.Have a great weekend.

It's sort of cool here, 65 degrees last I checked. North wind picking up so will have a fire tonight. On the Oregon Coast that's balmy.

It won't stop raining long enough to do anything. The grass needs cutting and my truck needs buffing.

I can't wait for dry season. Then I'll have to water the grass and buff the truck again.

Color change? It's getting time for spring flowers. I like petunias and violets. I might try to get a jump on tomatoes this year.

I sure would like to see some real fall colors again soon.

Got a heck of a storm last night roll through Central
Indiana ahead of a cold front. Today it was very windy
and cooled down to about low 60's. Talking about some
possible frost here next two nights upper 30's maybe
for lows. Fall got here with a bang. We'll still get some warm
weather for sure but it's cool now.

Absolutely fabulous! Here in the peoples republic of IL it was 67 degrees with a very little 2-3 mph breeze, blue sky's, and fluffy little clouds. Just about perfect. Wish it could stay this way a long time.

It's sort of cool here, 65 degrees last I checked. North wind picking up so will have a fire tonight. On the Oregon Coast that's balmy.

Kind of interesting when our temps are similar to Oregon -- we have nights in the mid to low 60's, days in the 80's -- which makes it comparatively pleasant -

Was in a flooded rice field this morning with a local dog trainer -- we had our limit of teal (4 each) in 20 minutes and we did not begin shooting until 10 minutes after shooting time started -- we were enjoying the morning and watching teal land in the decoys -- then went back to the lodge and had about 300 doves on the ground feeding on goatweed and getting fat.

FALL

A great first day of Fall here. cool nights, somewhat warm days but a breeze. SARAH is a year old today. Man, time sure does fly. Grouse season opens Oct 27th here. Day before my birthday.

Cool 54 and rainy. Very windy, 6-8 foot waves out on Lake Erie today. Made for a bumpy boat ride.

Forty and a half degrees here at the moment. (8:58 p.m. EDT).
Rained off and on all day. (That makes five days of it.)

They are talking rain and sleet tonight and possibly some non-accumulating snow. Rain and sleet tomorrow too.
I have been reloading .38s instead of grouse hunting. I need the .38s
but would rather be in the woods.

Not supposed to warm up till Monday or Tuesday.

It was around 48 this morning, got up to around 80. Some clouds.

Sunday Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 75. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
