I get pretty wild on New Year's Eve. I usually pop a batch of popcorn, watch an old John Wayne movie, and hit the sack around 10:00 p.m. I guess I'm just a wild and crazy guy.

To all my friends here on the Forum, Happy New Year and many more. Here in Calif. we have had 28 inches of rain in Dec. so far and it is still raining. All the passes over the Sierras are closed and the valley is flooded. We live at 3,oo Ft. and don't need flood insurance. I guess the drought is over for now.

Here in the sand flats it’s black eyed peas and hog jowl, but the sentiment is the same. For those who say it doesn’t help, I say, “Imagine how bad the year would have been if you hadn’t done it . . . “

My aunt is in the Hanover (PA) Hospital right now. My uncle just sent me a picture of the cafeteria menu that today features pork and sauerkraut.
