I am 71 years old. It is hard to believe in my lifetime I remember distinctly these tragic events..

JFK assination.1963
RFK and MLK 1968
Gov George Wallace (presidential candidate) wounding.
Attempt on President Gerald Ford
President Reagan assassination attempt / wounding
Former President Trump assassination attempt / wounding.

There was an attempt on President Truman in the early 1950s. I was born in 1953. Shooters were killed and Secret Service Officer died in shootout.

When the shooting happened yesterday, those memories came back. Our nation has always survived such horrible events but healing takes time. Thoughts and prayers for all.

Seventy nine years young and I well remember those incidents.

The protective measure have certainly gotten better over the course of time. It never will be considered perfect! People are people!. I have some other thoughts on this whole subject, but will hold them!
 
I was just a small child when JFK was shot but I remember seeing my Mom crying as she watched the TV report . I had no idea why she was upset , but I knew it had to do with something she was watching .

There are many unresolved inconsistencies remaining about the RFK assassination. And it is unlikely that they ever will be explained at this late date.

No one has mentioned the 1933 assassination attempt on FDR in Miami. That occurred shortly before his inauguration.

I remember every item on the main list. I was in second grade for JFK.

If you don't believe the "Official" account, you are branded a "Konspiracy Kook"!

I looked into and compared the Abe Lincoln, JFK, RFK, & MLK assignations. AL and RFK were shot from mere feet. RFK didn't have Secret Service protection, so he had personal bodyguards (I believe Rosie Greer was one of them). Abe didn't have Secret Service protection. (They investigated counterfeiting back then-and still do.) JFK was shot from 80 to 168 yeads, MLK was shot from 48 yards (if you believe the report) or closer. The Donald was shot at from 147 yards, the shot that hit him would have been a skull splitter if he wasn't moving, and only missed by 3/4".

Someone will always have something to hide on every assignation or attempt. My opinion is no report by any committee will ever tell the whole and unabridged truth!

The most important thing is: That America forgives the other political side its trespasses and we move on having learned a lesson. Figuring out the lesson is always the second hardest part; Forgiveness is the hardest!

I have a vague memory of the Truman incident, believe I was in the 8th grade.They were PR nationalists.Vivid memory of JFK assassination, was leaving Empire State Bldg. on E.33rd St. and people were watching a TV in the window of a store. All these incidents used to bring people together, at least for a short time, but we are so divided today in this country I don't think it is possible anymore.
 
I was born in 1950. I knew of the Truman event, but was too young to remember the details. I was home with the flu in 1963, so I watched the JFK news from the beginning.

Too many of these situations in this lifetime.
 
I was reading about the Reagan shooting. I'd forgotten that Hinckley had used an el-cheapo Röhm snub-nose .22 revolver, firing wildly, but did an amazing amount of damage given the caliber and minimal velocity even at short range:

The fifth bullet struck the armoured glass of the presidential limousine, but the sixth and last seriously wounded Reagan when it ricocheted off the side of the limousine and hit him in the chest.

Samual Byck hijacks a plane intending to crash it into the White House to kill Nixon, but is shot.

Sarah Jane Moore shoots at Ford

Cesar Sayoc sends pipe bombs to Obama, Biden and Hillary Clinton.

Not a presidential hopeful but Gabby Giffords was shot and injured.

I recall all of the events listed by OP with the exception of JFK.

I was only 2 when he was killed in Dallas. Based on some of the things we have learned due to FOIA requests I have a hard time ruling out some of the theories thrown out.

People in positions of power have done a lot of devious things in the name of national security or to further an agenda that they knew the people would not support.

I believe that some of the worst things have never seen the light of day and never will.

...that he used some sort of 'exploding tip' .22s ...'Destructors' or something like that. I don't know if any of them detonated or caused any further damage because of that. I seriously doubt it.

Update: They were called 'Devastators'.
