I placed my first order with Xtreme Bullets on July 30. From that date to present, my order has been posted as "in process". Until almost a bit more than a week ago, the bullets that I purchased appeared as in stock on their "in stock" page. For over a week, their "in stock" page was blank, presumably because they had stopped taking orders for 7-10 days so they could catch up on back orders. When I went to check my order today, my order was still showing as "in process"; however, the "in stock" page was showing 48 (boxes?) of 165gr 9mm RN in stock, total. About once a week I have emailed, asking if they had an idea when the order may ship, and the stock answer was always something to the effect that they are dealing with a backlog, and they are working to fill orders.

I realize that today's conditions are unique for businesses, but I am getting the gut feeling that they have over sold their inventory and waiting for replacement inventory while a potential draw on my credit card could come any time.

Based on your personal experiences with Xtreme Bullets, do they have the integrity to be straight forward with their customers?

As always, thanks in advance for your help!

I don't purchase from Xtreme but recently ordered some bullets from Precision and they sent an email saying it'll be 4-6 weeks before they're shipped. Almost everyone is either out or backlogged like this. It's the same with ammunition, primers and powder.

Ordered some through Cabelas a while back, five boxes came in three shipments over time. In the past had no issues with them. One bullet companty said 3-4 weeks backlog.....

I have ordered directly from xTreme 3 or 4 times in the past.

Shipping has been either immediate or delayed 2 or 3 weeks - so far nothing in between.

Yes, they do sometimes oversell their inventory, but since they produce all their own product, it usually doesn't take them too long to catch back up. They have also been known to have a big sale where they sell more than they can get packaged and shipped.

Just one of those things that a person has to accept about doing business with them. If you like their product (I do) just be sure to order more well in advance of your actual need.

Wish I had better news for you, but in my experience that is just how it works dealing with them.

I have ordered from them several times over the years, no complaints. It's not mentioned on their site now, but it has stated in the past 3-4 weeks in filling orders. Some sites are saying 6-8 weeks. There's a pandemic going on, civil unrest also; all you can do is wait. Even during Black Friday sales, there is 2-3 weeks delay in shipping. They are still saying not taking any orders for 7-10 days-be patient ;)

I've bought directly many many times. There is a massive run on all components right now. Pretty much all my go to suppliers have had notes on their pages about delays due to excessive order volume. Thank goodness I don't actually need anything. The only way to avoid this is to stock up during times of normal consumption.

I have done business with them several times years past . I always got my order , sometimes it took almost a month , but no big deal . I believe they are a " stand up " company so just be patient . Things are a mess right now , panic buying etc . Regards Paul

You'll get your bullets, just be patient. They will not shaft you. I buy my 9mm bullets now from RMR Bullets. They are backlogged 4-6 weeks also. They say on their site my card will be charged when I placed my order but I don't care. I knew I'd get my bullets. Great company.

I quit buying from them several years ago after they reneged on one of their rebate offers & later when they did nothing about a bad batch of bullets I had issues with & their quality dropped.

Shortly after, I believe, they had financial troubles & filed for protection?

Too bad, up until then I used them almost exclusively. :(

.

I've ordered from them about five times now and it's pretty much the same as most everybody describes above. Usually takes at least a few weeks to receive anything from them even during normal times.

I will say though, I did recently place a bulk order for 4,000 9mm bullets on 8/2 fully expecting to wait a month or more to receive my order. I was pleasantly surprised to get a shipping confirmation emailed to me on 8/12. It's currently in transit and is suppose to be delivered in the next few days so I'll see when it gets delivered. I have to admit, this was a little surprising to me given the current demand for reloading components.

I used Xtreme for years on their heavy plate bullets. I still have a box of 500 124gr concave bottom round nose that is on the supply shelf. When they stated making jacketed 9mm I got the price break 2k amount for a good price. The problem was they were not .356" but .350-.351". It took me 3 months to get them issue a return authorization with me contacting them weekly. I spoke to some very nice people and some very rude people who all said they would up-channel my request as they were not authorized to issue a RMA. I kept notes of all the conversations and rarely talked to the same person twice. This was about the time they were going through their re-organization.

Now most of my bullets I get from Bayou with occasional orders of FMJ from Rocky Mountain Reloading. This was all pre-chinese flue.

When the original company was only 22 miles from me in Reno Nevada, I would drive down and pick up my reloading needs at the front desk.........
but that came to an end when they closed up shop for the new place up North.

I like their people, service and products..............

However, in these times, getting stuff will take a lot longer with all the orders and supply shortages.
You might just grab your golf clubs or a fishing rod and hang in there, with the rest of us.

Ordered some 9mm a couple months back took about 3 weeks to ship but I was in no hurry here lately finding stuff in stock & eventually getting it is more important than anything else to Me

I must have been lucky, I ordered 1000 9mm 124 gr. RN first of the month. They showed up a week ago. Also ordered some from Everglades, they arrived a day apart.

I ordered from them about 6 weeks ago, requested that they HOLD the order because I was going to be out of town ... got an email saying that there would be no problem holding it because they were 3-4 weeks behind schedule ... bullets were delivered 5 days later while I was away.

I'm not sure what any of that means other than maybe they are not super-organized.
