I use 9mm at the range for cheap plinking and i use 9mm for my CW.
Just wondering why wouldn't you use the 40 barrel in your CW or did you really mean 40?

First post and it's the million dollar question![]()
where can I find a smith and wesson m&p shield 9mm barrel??
thank you
Practice what you carry. Train that muscle memory. Count those shots. Develop a cadence.
If you value "manning up with 40cal" over being as effective and proficient as you can be via the 9mm, then stick with the 40.
If you want to shoot 8 round strings of 9mm at the range and carry 7 of 40, also your prerogative. I just don't think the extra cost of a barrel and disparity in training to carry is worth the bit of ammo cost saving.
