Have you seen a Smith like this?

12ga cartridge can shoot?

Good question. The 12 gauge adapter would no doubt ignite a 12 ga shotgun round but the adapter is only for 12 ga flares.

So from the federal law standpoint, shooting off a 12 gauge shotgun round in a flare gun might just be a "self correcting mistake" for the perpetrater of such a wrongheaded idea.

Yep,on the line gun,tie the monkey fist to the eye of the line shove it down the bbl and fire away.Takes the line to the pier in a dramatic fashion.:D Used to be my sea detail as a gunner's mate when coming into port.
Ours looked more like a shotgun, shoulder stock and all,but not S&W's.

...............to see that. I bet a few heads would turn. Some people get all the cool jobs. :)

I have a shoulder stock version with a longer barrel. It is a signal gun. 37 mm. Made from S&W N frame. The shoulder stock will fit on any sq butt N frame (DON'T TRY THAT IT IS LIKLEY A BIG NO NO)

Aquired mine at Indy gun show with case and docs for $450 several years ago.

I have actually fired it, not as accurate as my centerfires.
