52 S&W shooters, Is the HBWC or BBWC best for the 52 for function and accuracy?. What is best powder and what weight? I have been using 148 BBWC and 2.8 bullseye, but have 1 jam every 20-30 rounds.

I have always shot the HBWC in mine, never the BBWC. My impression is the HBWC is more accurate. It also tends to be tailored for the velocity the M52 prefers.

What bullet do you use if a handload? Powder? Tedog.

HBWC is the bullet for a 52 period . Powders that work are Bullseye , W231 , WST , VVN320 , VVN340 , AA#2 . My 52 groups best ( @ 50yds ) with 3.1-3.2 W231 ( depending on the lot of powder ) , followed very closely by 3.6 VVN340 . Bullets that'll work include Remington , Zero , Star & Precision Delta . You want a swaged lead HBWC , not a cast bullet . This is assuming you want best accuracy . If you'll search my past posts you'll find detailed load data , test targets shot @ 50yds etc . Hope this helps .

Do you trime your cases?

When I had a wadcutter semi-auto, I had to trim each and every case that went through the gun.
