Hi all,
I just got done talking to Customer Service and also there operator. I was told "they will be on leave a couple weeks" Bad news to my ears.. They have my 686SSR for 12 days now and gave me a estimate for $87.00 to get a "custom action job" Now I have to wait at ~the least~ a couple more weeks to get work started or not. If it was not for the mar on the barrel that I have know idea if it was fixed or replaced, I might just have them send it back, then again that person might be on leave

Hi,

I got a update yesterday when I payed the "charge" total. She said once a year, in the summer that the dept. takes 2 weeks off for maintinance. She expects the shop to open by 18August.

They do a great action job so you should be happy when you get it back. Let us know how it compares to stock.

However , if you send it now , you'll be 2 weeks ahead in line .

I sent mine in about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday "Jeff" told me the news about 'closed for 2 weeks'.....

While I miss my revolver, there would be a wait for service in any case. Still, they could have told me before I sent it in.

That's comforting to know AZshooter, I will give a update when it's back...

I have a good idea how you feel m657. It seems we are in the same boat, Today the 7th makes 15 days for me. If they told me about the wait, I would not have sent it until they were caught up. I guess the best option at this point is to add in the additional couple weeks.

It could be much worse. They had my revolver for refinishing twice (they scratched it after the 1st refin). It was gone a total of 4 months! I'll NEVER send them another firearm.

It's not that bad, I have heard that they will add something extra when you have to wait. Even if you don't, the gun will be worth the wait.

4 MONTHS???...Yikes!, I don't blame you for feeling the way you do. I'm sure I would feel the same way...

Thanks Mr. Whitt for your comforting message about being worth the wait. Yes, it would be a nice gesture if they did add something extra....
