Let me start by saying I don't know much in the way of vintage or collectible holsters.
But I wandered through an antique mall yesterday, and saw this in a box of holsters. I recognized the name, and since it was only fifteen bucks, I bought it. I have a couple of old handguns that it would be perfect for. I figured it was worth at least what I paid for it.
When I got home, just out of curiosity I looked at ebay to see if there was one listed. There was one, and the guy wanted $229! Whether or not that's the going rate, I don't know. But it let me know that I did okay.
A couple of years ago, for Christmas, I gave my wife a nickel-plated Model of 1905, 4th change which shipped in 1940. Beautiful gun, but it was originally blued, so no collector value. When she saw that this holster fit her gun, she had a fit and claimed it for herself! It's for a gun with a 6" barrel, and hers has a 5", but that's no big deal. I rarely see her get excited about anything gun-related, and she'll probably never actually put it on her belt, but I figured what the heck and gave it to her.
