The first one I've seen in person. It seemed like a nice, well made, solid revolver. The two piece barrel wouldn't bother me because I think it's proven technology. The MIM parts wouldn't bother me either.
But the matte finish and the lock are deal breakers for me. It may handle great and function like K-frames of old but for me it lacks the "soul" of the originals. And at nearly $800 I can find plenty of pre-lock 66s I'd rather own.
Now if they were to produce a 2.5 or 3 inch barrel version I may consider one as potential carry gun.
And as an aside, the clerk at the shop was handling the gun after I looked at it. He must have swept the muzzle past me 7-8 times. I don't freak out when I've personally verified the weapon was unloaded. But this guy clearly needed to go back for some training.
