Hello to all from the Rocky Mt. area. Found this site when looking for info on the S&W Sigma 9mm I just purchased.
Looks like I found the right place. :) This is only the second S&W Auto that I've acquired, the other being a 1006 that I got from an estate sale a few years ago. Haven't fired the Sigma yet, but plan on doing so in the next few days. Sure like the way it fits my hand so I'm betting it'll shoot well.
I have alot of pistols, but this is my first polymer frame model and the price was right. (just couldn't see spending the additional $$ for a Glock and I have fired a few XD's and don't particularly like them.)
I'm very pleased with the 1006 and have put alot of rounds through it since getting it. It is extremely accurate and never fails to fire,,,,I hope the Sigma is as good!

Welcome from CA. The Sigma is a great gun, you can feed any ammo through it and unlike a Glock it won't explode in your hand. You will find the trigger really heavy but it is a really solid gun.If you want to do any trigger mods, look at my previous posts. I have done almost everything to mine and have 20,250 rounds through it and only one failure. The failure wa not the guns fault, rather bad ammo (wolff) that exploded in the chamber. That is a really funny story. You can read it if you search for some of my threads or "sigma failure (kinda)". other than that no problems at all. Enjoy.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Looks like there is plenty of great information here. I'll be sure to post up my opinions of the SW9ve once I get to put a few hundred rounds through it.
