Hello from Alaska

Hey all,

New to the forums so I figured I'd introduce myself. As the title says, I'm from Alaska, moved here 8 months ago. Currently have a few Glocks, some long guns, mainly carry an M&P 9c as my EDC and just ordered my first revolver today. I went with the 442 as I figured it would be a great little gun to shoot and carry. I am former military, been shooting for a while, was an instructor for many years (mostly semi-auto handguns), and I work as a firefighter. I find it oddly embarrassing to admit that it has taken me this long to purchase a revolver, but I am moving forward and broadening my horizons. I hope to learn a bunch from you all and maybe add some worthwhile comments as well!

Welcome from Texas. I spent a year in Alaska in 69-70. The organization I was with furnished me with 3 hots, a cot and several uniforms, most the same color. Cheap beer and haircuts. And midnight mess was pretty good too. Something about a shingle comes to mind.

I think it's now called the birchwood shooting range and if so, it't the range that I belong to! Small world. It's a great little range and it is only a 5 minute ride from my house which is nice.
