Hello from Alaska

New guy here, recently retired to Southcentral Alaska and just getting into S&W firearms. I've carried a j-frame for all my adult life, but now interested in taking up shooting as a hobby, and I love the old metal guns.

Welcome from the Tar Heel State. I have a friend who moved up your way last year, somewhere in the Chitina-McCarthy area, he lives inside the boundary of Wrangell-St Elias Preserve. Damn, it looks cold up there. I guess it suits him, he was Army SF all his adult life.

I'm not far from you, I'm on the North side of Eagle River. Glad to "meet" other fans of the S&W revolvers! I get the feeling that this hobby may be somewhat addictive :)

North side of Eagle River...That would mean you're right near Birchwood. If you don't already have a membership, you oughta! The place just keeps getting better, but it needs more wheelgunners!

A big ole Southern Welcome from Western Tennessee!
There's a heap of good folks here and much knowledge & experience to share!

Welcome aboard from South Florida,
where we hunt with fishing rods and reels.
Have you decided if your adult caliber Alaskan Smith
will be a 500 or 460? :D
