I have had my concealed carry permit for 40 years now. My first was a Model 29 with 8 3/8 inch barrel. Had to wait a year to take delivery because of the Dirty Harry movies. Even though I live in CT I have worked in Springfield Ma. for over 9 years and some of the people I worked with now work at S&W. Just bought a new M&P Shield in 9mm the other day and I am very happy with it.

Wish I still had that 29. Thought of getting one of the Classic 29s and I know its a small thing but that side lock hole just turns me off. Perhaps maybe a S&W 500 Magnum hand cannon.
