Glad you are here. I’m a big fan of Beretta O/U shotguns and Uberti Single Action Army’s (Colt clones). Where in Italy do you reside? I am in Central New York State.

Tuscany.
There are many good Italian hunting or sport shotguns manufacturers - Beretta, Benelli, Caesar Guerini, Franchi, Perazzi, Poli, Rizzini.
Uberti and Pietta replicas are good, but a Ruger Blackhawk may be better for a steady diet of hot loads.

I sometimes go to Florence for competition shooting.
If you lived here, you'd have to deal with more restrictive gun control laws than the 2nd Amendment.

Anyway, you did well to go on the outskirts too. Some bars and restaurants in the city center of the places you mentioned have inflated prices to rip off tourists.
