Hello to the members of this forum. CA gun enthusiast here just recently started my SW collection last month. My father owned a 686 revolver back when they first came out but ended up going to another brother and didn't want to have to fight over it so I decided to start my own little SW collection. Please let me know what you think about the firearms I've gotten so far and if the prices I paid were good.
1st one I picked up was a 98% condition CS40 with 2 mags and hard case, no papers. Paid about $270 at a local gun store.
2nd one was a trade I just picked up from 10 day jail today. LNIB 686-6 Plus with 2 speed loaders, holder, hard case, all paperwork. I traded this for a used Ruger P95 9mm that the seller wanted.
3rd one is pending sale tomorrow. 98% condition 3913 with 2 mags, Boyt gun rug/case, and history from SW. This particular one was made in 92 and has lower profile slide release and safeties plus has the stainless trigger and hammer. Picking this one up as a private party sale for $400.
So how did I do on my first Smith and Wesson firearms? Are the prices good for what I got? Any input is appreciated.
