I like moon clip guns! Cuts down on loading/unloading time on the range. Just load & unload your clips while watching tv at home. Makes picking up brass super quick, and you know which is yours.
I did a combat revolver shoot last fall. Some of the stages had mandatory reloads, moon clips are waaayyyy faster than speed loaders.
An option for your 25-2 for moon clips might be RIMZ poly moon clips. No tools needed to load or unload. I use them normally, but have metal ones also. Have a 625 JM . Bob
OOPS, silly me, had replied already. Bob
My 25-2 is my favorite and one of my most accurate handguns.I love going to the range with the M25 and this customized M1917, and an ammo box full of loaded full moon clips. I bought all my good moon clips at Revolver Supply. They are all exactly .040" thick. Otherbrands I got were too thick and would bind in the M25. The M1917 is sloppy enough to use any moon clips.
I had several 25-2's early in my Police career and gave up on them as they would not shoot lead bullets. With Jacketed bullets they put them in one ragged hole but lead was more a shotgun pattern. I didn't know about the cylinder throat issue back then. I now own several 625's and they're much better.
