Hello from Mechanicsville

Welcome to the forum, tovarisch. I live in Colorado now but my mother was born and raised in Mechanicsville, lots of relatives in that area.

Very nice Model 36. I think the other guys have properly nailed it down as 1966-68 production. Keep everything together (box, papers, etc). You have a very desirable piece that should bring top price from the right buyer (and you are in the right place to find just such a buyer). I'm thinking closer to $550-plus, assuming you aren't in a hurry to dump it for less than it might bring with proper exposure to the market.

On the other hand, we're talking about your dad's revolver so maybe it would be best to keep it in the family? I would try to do that if possible.

My Dad's revolver is the problem. He left me 17 handguns. 10 are revolvers. I'm just nerding up on one per week. I already have my own, significant collection. I'm out of room!
