Greetings S&W forum folks.
I've been lurking for a bit, and finally joined now that my M&P15-22 is on its way to my FFL.
New to S&W but not firearms. Berettas, Colts, and a mix of others (Ruger, Walther, Savage, Mossberg). Picked up the 15-22 as an affordable option to my ARs, and hopefully something my son (7) can shoulder. He can shoulder my synthetic stock 10/22, but neither of the ARs (too heavy). I'd like him to have experience with the AR layout, which the 15-22 is 'close' to.
I won't be doing a lot to the 15-22 other than putting one of my Eotechs on it to match up with my flattop AR for familiarity. I'll have to see how I like the stock sights.
