Hey all, wanted to stop and say hi for my first post. I am avid 1911 shooter/carrier and have had my CCW for going on 9 years now. I'm a NRA lifetime member and have owned my own multimedia studio for the last 18 years.

Among my 1911's I have several other semi autos but recently picked up my first revolver. I know, I've needed one (or more) for a long time, but was dedicated to building up my 1911 collection which is my first love. I have a couple full house customs and they tend to be my EDC.

Anyhow, in my search for a new (or new to me revolver), I absolutely fell in love with the PC 627. I have always been partial to S&W. Particularly, I love the model 29. However, I cannot get this 627 off my mind and really want to pull the trigger on owning it. I will do a lengthy search on it to see what I can glean from the site. I look forward to reading the forum and thanks for having me.

After I search I will post up some questions and look forward to learning from you S&W loving folks.

thanks guys...man, I really like the forum. I have so much to learn about S&Ws...the revolvers are simply amazing and the wealth of info here is addicting. Great place! I wish I knew a local shop in NE Ohio that had a great selection of S&W...I've called around today and so far my choices are pretty limited. Good LGS around but not stocking what I'm really looking for. If anyone knows and is in the Ohio realm, let me know. I am about to pull the trigger on a trade for the 627 I want. It's in another state but the dealer seems like a real good guy and has had great communication - a little leary going with something sight unseen (except for pics), but I'm fairly confident the performance center stuff is good to go, especially NIB as its listed. It's a pretty sweet deal as I'll be letting go a 1911 (plus receiving a couple hundred along with it from the dealer) from the stable that purely sits in the safe and sees no range time - never ever shoot it. I have quite a few custom 1911s but this revolver bug has taken hold..someone help me. LOL

Note I'm generally not one to trade away guns - especially a 1911, but in this case, I think its a no brainer. Especially when I have more 1911s than I need and this one is collecting dust. (sounds like I'm trying to talk myself into it doesn't it.... )

Welcome from Texas Pote. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Welcome from another NE Ohioan.. just remember we don't need an FFL to trade or sell:D

Cool....well the trade happened and turned it around in two days total. The 627 will be here tomorrow. In this case, it was with an out of state gun dealer who requires guns to go to an FFL. I am so stoked. mbliss...where ya at and where are your favorite LGS and ranges??

thanks for all the welcomes and dang...one more day to wait on the 627. didn't leave till late in the day yesterday. I do enjoy the anticipation...that whole kid on christmas morning thing despite my age. LOL

I contacted Lobo leather about a rig...4-6 week wait on that. Heres my piece that's making its way home to me.
