Hello. New member from Oklahoma. Im seeking some insight about the M&P line in 9mm. I currently have a GLOCK 17 generation 3 and really like it. But the problem is it is somewhat difficult to conceal as Im a smaller framed person, 5'6'' 175lbs. I was at a gun shop looking for 9mm shotshells for my glock and also looked at the S&W M&P9, and fell in love lol. Its really nice, and the grips are very nice compared to my glock. Im not knocking it by any means though. What I would like to know, would the M&P9C be a good choice for a concealed EDC? I don't know much about S&W, other than I really like the look, feel, and reviews of this pistol. Also, my defense round of choice in the Glock is Remington Golden Sabre 9mm LUGER 124gr +P, can it shoot those without problems, and the CCI 9mm shotshells, 64 gr. Thank you for any pros/cons about this gun. I should add that I have only carried once as I have only had a concealed carry license last week, so Im a complete newb at carrying.

Welcome from another proud Okie!

I have the M&PCompact in .357Sig with the .40S&W, and 9mm barrels.

You can't beat a S&W three in one combo!

I shoot 9mm most of the time, and don't worry about +P, or +P+ because the gun is built to handle the .357Sig loads.

If you get the 9mm you can't add the .40 or .357 barrels. If you get the .40 or .357, then all three caliber barrels can be interchanged, with the proper ammo, of course.

I bought my M&PCompact for EDC, but I haven't gotten my handgun permit yet.

Thanks guys. S&WOKIE- I took the class in April in Osage county, and just got my license on sept 6th. OSBI was flooded when fallin signed the O/C law. Ok, if I read right, if I buy the 40c, I can still shoot 9s and 40s and 357s? All Id have to do is change barrels and mags?? Thats awesome!

Yeah, all you have to do is change out the barrels, which takes about a half a minute.

Hint: You don't have to use the sear disconnect to remove the slide, just make sure it is not loaded, and pull the trigger, like breaking down a Glock, if you don't have the mag disconnect.

You can use the .40/.357 mags for 9mm, but sometimes the slide will stay open with the last round in the mag.

Another nice addition for the Compacts is using the full size mags with the X-Grip. I keep mine set up that way most all of the time now, extra rounds, and it fits my hand great.
